The Beach

We have taken Hannah to North Carolina for her first trip to the beach! First time in the sand and first time with her feet in the ocean! We drove most of the way yesterday and stayed in Plymouth, NC. Hannah enjoyed relaxing with Chad on the bed.

The hotel had a breakfast so we all headed down this morning. Of course there was Fruit Loops so I figured Hannah would be good. They also happened to have yogurt which was an added bonus. Chad had picked up some bacon plus a few other things. Hannah seemed to be interested in the bacon and so Chad offered it to her. What do you know, she put it in her mouth!!! She ended up eating a fair amount of it. I guess she is not a vegetarian after all! Here is the proof.

Today we headed to Duck, NC. It was a shorter drive but Hannah was done withe being in her car seat. She did take a short 30 min nap on the way. I was not sure if that would be her only nap for the day or not since official check in for our resort was 4:00. We briefly met up with Grandma and Paw Paw at Wal-Mart, who are out here for the beginning of the week with us. We then headed on to the resort to find out where it was. Luckily our room was ready and we could go ahead and check in early, like at 12:30 early! Hannah was able to get a 1 hour nap in the afternoon which had her good for the rest of the day. Once she woke up we headed down to the beach for her first time in the sand and ocean!

Not sure about this yet.

It took her a while to warm up to the sand. Not sure what to think of it for a while. Same thing with the ocean. She was not too sure about the waves and water at first but then she wanted to run into them! I was not quite dressed for that (nor was she)! We ended up a bit wet. Here she is in action.

If you look closely, we are both wet!

There was also a nice lady who took a family picture for us and with Chad helping me crop it, it turned out pretty good!
